Chapter 534 - 546: Helen Wilson’s Pressure
Today on the island, we didn’t encounter any more trouble. Everyone had a lot of fun, and after having lunch here, we headed back home. Actually, aside from Grace Lopez giving him a headache, John Brown really enjoys this kind of life. When he got home, Gina Lopez was already there. After chatting for a bit, Sarah Grandy said, "Uncle, we haven’t visited Sister Emma for a while. How about we go see her today?"
John Brown immediately felt embarrassed and looked at Gina Lopez.
Gina Lopez also looked at John Brown and said calmly, "Then go ahead."
John Brown felt guilty, as he was asking his wife for permission to see another woman. Although he had told Gina about Emma Campbell before they got married, and he had expressed that he couldn’t break off his feelings for Emma, his feelings for Gina had deepened, making it harder to be as open as before.
Gina noticed John Brown’s guilt, and it made her feel a bit better. It showed that John was increasingly concerned about her, her feelings, and her attitude, which was progress.
With a slight smile, she said, "Go ahead, I’m not angry."
John Brown forced a laugh and said, "Maybe another day."
Gina continued to smile and said, "No need. If you don’t go today, Charlotte might think I’m stopping you, which would make me look like a shrew."
