Chapter 497 - 506: The Truly Trouble-making Woman
The woman’s husband is named David Brown, currently a public official working in a district’s finance bureau, and the woman is named Rachel Wilson, whose father is the deputy captain of the City Maintenance Squad.
David Brown was originally a college graduate from a mountain village. He and Rachel Wilson were schoolmates, and because of his good looks, he was pursued by many girls. However, Rachel Wilson was able to arrange a job for him, so he compromised and married her. With his father-in-law’s support, he became a public official, and within a few years, he landed a position as a section chief.
His father-in-law is just over fifty now and can work for a few more years. David’s future promotions will still rely on him, so even though his wife bosses him around, curses at him, and hits him, he can only endure it.
When his wife has a conflict with someone, he knows one hundred percent that she’s causing trouble outside, but in such situations, he can only follow her lead. So he approached James Brown and said with a stern face, "You dare hit my wife? You’re really asking for it."
Having been a public official for a few years and with his father-in-law backing him, David Brown may not be able to stand up to his wife, but he often vents his frustrations from home in front of outsiders. At this moment, he glared viciously at James Brown.
James Brown originally thought David Brown was a meek man who wouldn’t retaliate even when his wife hit him, feeling somewhat sympathetic. Now, James Brown’s words made him feel even more ashamed, which quickly turned into anger. He cursed and swung his fist at James Brown; he was surprisingly daring.
When he made a move, the other three men also rushed forward. James Brown, wearing swim trunks, had visible chest muscles and abs, clearly a strong person. As David Brown was clearly not James’s match, the other three naturally came to help.
"Hit him! Hit him hard!" Rachel Wilson shouted loudly while holding her son.
