Chapter 454 - 461 Hawk Squad Dispatched
Nanhua City is just over two hundred kilometers away from the Capital of SSUP. Although this city is not particularly large, its proximity to the Capital of SSUP makes it remarkably prosperous.
Even at night, Nanhua City remains bustling, only gradually becoming quieter as it approaches midnight.
Inside a three-story building near the busy urban district, the premises are currently shrouded in darkness. It serves as the office of a company. Such companies are common in Nanhua City, and no one pays them much attention.
However, tonight, this company seems poised to leave its ordinary status behind.
Two shadows moved like agile cats, darting above and below as they approached the building, crouching beneath a window. One of them gestured, while the other pulled out an unknown tool, carving a small circle on the glass. Then, they pressed another tool against the glass and suctioned out a small round piece of it.
One hand reached inside, deftly unlocking the window latch and opening it. The entire operation was as fluid as running water—utterly seamless, without a trace of hesitation or even the slightest sound.
With the window now open, the two figures didn’t immediately move. Instead, they paused to listen carefully before slipping into the room one by one. They landed silently without making a sound.
Cautiously, the two individuals moved a few steps forward. One of them pointed towards an overhead position, and the other nodded. It appeared to be just a regular ceiling panel, but to these two, it concealed a hidden camera. The camera was so well-hidden that ordinary people wouldn’t notice it. However, they had already spotted it before arriving at the location. This camera monitored the hallway below, and walking past it would inevitably bring them into its field of view.
"Bang!" A dull noise suddenly resounded outside. The two silently counted to three before darting forward, likely leaving nothing but residual shadows in the camera feed.
In a security room located on the first floor, two individuals were present. They were casually chatting while watching the monitors.
Security personnel in such companies typically treated monitors with indifference, as their primary purpose was more about recording rather than active surveillance. If something suspicious occurred, they could always check the footage later. Generally, a casual glance now and then sufficed.
