Chapter 340 - 347: Discussing the Discussion
John Brown had indulged in such absurdities before. In the past years, to rid himself of his murderous impulses, and because life was unpredictable, he acted without restraint. Yet, back then, it was only with women of easy virtue or those he’d met in bars, so he never gave it much thought.

Not until you run a household do you understand the cost of living; not until you raise a child do you understand parental grace. Gina Lopez had never thought that having children was complicated, but she now understood a bit—having children might be easy, but raising them was the hardest part.
The next day, John Brown accompanied Sarah Grandy to the Public Security Bureau again. This time, they were not received by Helen Wilson but by the detectives since despite the case being initially cracked by Helen Wilson’s police station, it was now a criminal case and thus had been transferred here.
Sarah Grandy recounted the events of the previous day, only she described John Brown as an unacquainted person. After all, the man didn’t recognize John Brown, so it could be glossed over.
The police had also interrogated that man; his story was basically no different from Sarah Grandy’s. John Brown, in fact, also hoped to receive some other news from the police side, but since they didn’t recognize him, they naturally wouldn’t reveal anything.
