The Supreme Soldier in the City

Chapter 294 - 301 Glutton

James Brown only picked up one plate, and he was holding it with his left hand, while with his other hand, he leisurely picked up a big conch and placed it onto the plate, which was already stacked with more than a dozen crabs and several conch shells, towering as high as a small forearm.

James had no intention of stopping. He piled about ten mantis shrimps on top of the conch shells and then finally stopped, turning his head to Emma Campbell and asking, "Is this enough for us to eat now?"

"Enough, enough," Emma Campbell nodded repeatedly, looking both excited and thrilled, but also a little embarrassed.

In places like upscale hotels, James’s behavior of guarding his food would be laughed at, but in a buffet, it wouldn’t be mocked; rather, it would be envied and admired as he took more in one go than others could in several, truly a buffet’s ultimate weapon.

"It won’t fall, right?" Everyone watched James stop, but their gaze never wavered. Although the food was stacked up, they didn’t believe that James could carry it safely to the dining area.

Sarah Johnson and Emily Clarke, along with Emma, all had this worry. In a buffet restaurant where dropping food carelessly on the ground incurs a fine, it’s meant to prevent people from being too greedy, taking so much that if dropped, it would be a huge waste.

The waiter followed as well, staring in disbelief at James taking so much food all at once. Having worked here as a waiter for so long, they had never seen anyone take so much at once.

Emma Campbell, Sarah Johnson, and Emily Clarke all knew the restaurant’s rules and despite the excitement of seeing James grabbing so much, they were particularly worried. Emma nervously stood to the left of James and meticulously said, "Big Brother Brown, it... won’t fall off, right?"

James turned his head toward Emma, making her heart nearly leap out, she hurriedly said, "Big Brother Brown, don’t look at me."

Emily Clarke and Sarah Johnson also quickly reached out to protect the plate in James’s hands, urgently saying, "Be very careful, if it falls to the ground, there will be a fine."

James then realized why they were all being so careful and said with a smile, "Don’t worry, if I can stack it up, it won’t fall off. You lead the way."
