Chapter 237 - 239: Wilson Residence
Helen Wilson was left speechless by Sarah Utah’s words; indeed, there is no need for a reason to love someone—if you love them, you love them. However, in her heart, she believed that James Brown should not be with Sarah Utah. If he were with Sarah, then Sarah would surely end up getting hurt—this thought inexplicably popped up in Helen’s mind, but it couldn’t be used to persuade Sarah.
With a sigh, Helen Wilson forced a bitter smile and shook her head, saying, "Sarah, I don’t really want to persuade you anymore, but be careful when you’re with this guy. I’m quite familiar with him and I understand him very well. He already has plenty of women by his side, so why do you insist on getting involved in these muddy waters?"
Sarah Utah smiled sweetly and said, "Helen, you’ve seen it for yourself. If Big Brother Brown isn’t excellent, would so many girls like him? You say you’re very familiar with Big Brother Brown, but that means you don’t truly understand him. If you really understood him, then maybe, you might fall for him too."
"Me... fall for him?" Helen Wilson’s eyes widened in astonishment.
Sarah Utah let out a light laugh and said, "I’m just making a comparison with you. I certainly don’t want you to like him; that would mean another competitor for me."
"You... you’re really hopeless. Alright, alright, I won’t try to persuade you anymore. But don’t let him take advantage of you so easily."
A blush crept onto Sarah Utah’s face as she protested, "Helen, what nonsense are you spouting? Big Brother Brown is not that kind of person."
Helen Wilson finally gave up on trying to persuade Sarah Utah. While Sarah went to change clothes, Helen approached James Brown with a stern face, saying fiercely, "How did you sweet-talk Sarah into this?"
James Brown, having not heard Helen and Sarah’s conversation, replied with some confusion, "What do you mean by sweet-talk?"
"Do you know that Sarah really likes you now and wants to be with you?"
"I vaguely felt that was the case. So what? Does that concern you, Officer David Woods? Oh right, you’re now the precinct’s chief, heh, Chief Woods."
