The Supreme Soldier in the City

Sarah Grandy had not visited James Brown’s home very often, and when she did, she only saw Emma Campbell and never Emily Jenkins. So when she saw a beautiful woman dressed as a flight attendant return home with James Brown, she naturally assumed she was the woman James had found for himself, which couldn’t sit well with her.

With a tilt of her small face and hands on her hips, she asked fiercely, "Who are you?"

Emily Jenkins was startled by Sarah Grandy’s attitude but soon burst into laughter, saying, "I’m Big Brother Brown’s neighbor."

"Neighbor?" Sarah Grandy looked at James Brown with confusion.

James Brown glared and scolded, "Stop embarrassing me here, go stand aside."

Pouting, Sarah Grandy complained, "Why? I’m your concubine, at the very least, and she’s just your neighbor? You treat her better than you treat me."

"Concubine?" Emily Jenkins didn’t understand at first, mainly because the term was so obscure.

Proudly, Sarah Grandy declared, "That’s right, I’m the uncle’s concubine. That’s the woman besides his wife, how about that?"

This time Emily got the point. Her chest heaved dramatically a couple of times, and her ample bosom trembled along, then she burst into hearty laughter.

James Brown, uncomfortable with the laughter, pushed Sarah Grandy away, annoyed, "Could you please stop the nonsense?"

Noticing that James Brown was genuinely angry, Sarah Grandy dared not mess around any longer. She flipped her hair triumphantly and strutted inside.
