The Supreme Soldier in the City

Chapter 179 This car is too awesome!

John Adams casually pressed the lock on his key, making the Camry’s lights flash with a pleasant sound. Lisa Smith opened the passenger door and said to Sarah Utah, "Sarah, do you want to come in and sit for a while, to experience what a good car feels like?"

Sarah Utah found her classmate somewhat laughable. They only had a Camry; how could they claim James Brown’s Porsche was a lousy car? She shook her head and said, "No, we’ll just stick with our own car."

With a proud smirk, Lisa said, "Alright then, I hope you can afford a good car soon so you won’t lose face at reunions and such."

Sarah nodded, "We’ll try our best."

Lisa was about to sit in the car but then she got out, leaned on the door, and said, "You go ahead." She felt that if Sarah didn’t see her getting into the QQ, Sarah wouldn’t feel inferior, and she wouldn’t be able to vent the frustration Sarah had caused her over the years.

James chuckled, "Sarah, let’s go then."

Lisa immediately nodded vigorously, "Yes, you go ahead." However, her eyes were fixed on the QQ; she relished this feeling of superiority.

Just then, a young couple arrived and the man opened the door of the QQ and they both sat inside and drove away swiftly.

Lisa and John Adams were stunned. Wasn’t the QQ James and Sarah’s car? Why did someone else just drive it away? That meant the QQ wasn’t theirs at all. Now, only the Camry and the Porsche remained, and the Porsche certainly wasn’t Sarah and James’s. Realizing this, Lisa was ecstatic inside; Sarah and James didn’t even have a car, yet they pretended they did.

Frowning, Lisa seriously said, "Sarah, this isn’t right. If we don’t have a car, we should work harder to buy one. How can you claim to have one when you don’t? This isn’t the Sarah I know. When did you become so vain, and when did you start lying? We’re old classmates; do you really need to do this?"

Lisa felt exhilarated inside. She had always known she was less attractive and not as diligent as Sarah, who excelled in school and would surely be diligent at work. Aside from boyfriends, Lisa didn’t think she could surpass Sarah in anything. Yet now, she had a chance to criticize her, and it felt fantastic.
