Chapter 82 Emma Campbell’s Trouble
Gina Lopez had been quite busy these last few days, with James Brown running around with her as her dedicated driver. They rarely returned to the logistics department.
However, James hadn’t seen Lucy Campbell since. When Gina was working, James knew that she had a good relationship with Lucy, who had agreed to invest in YODC City and had also reached some cooperative agreements with Gina.
The main focus for Gina these days was shuttling between the branch office and the headquarters. With such an opportunity at the branch office, the headquarters naturally took it very seriously, and for them, it was like a pie falling from the sky.
Yet, Gina was somewhat displeased because the people from the headquarters were clearly there to take credit. They interfered a lot, and if their interference had resulted in anything good, Gina might have accepted it, but from her perspective, they were only suggesting detrimental ideas and seeking benefits from Lucy. If things went poorly, and Lucy got upset, all could be lost.
After several busy days, it was finally the weekend again, and James could relax for two days. His plan was to rest well, go out for some drinks, and hang out at bars.
But plans change faster than they can be made, and Emma Campbell called, saying she wanted to come over.
James thought about refusing, but hearing the tone in Emma’s voice, which seemed a bit suppressed, he gave her the address and let her come over.
About an hour later, Emma arrived at James’ place, holding a bag of fruit, which James accepted with a smile saying, "You didn’t have to bring anything, just yourself!"
Emma seemed quite normal at that moment, her cheeks blushing as she said, "It’s my first time at Big Brother Brown’s place, it would be rude not to bring a little something."
"No worries about politeness, come in and have a seat." James ushered Emma inside and fetched a pair of slippers for her.
After changing into the slippers, Emma began to look around James’ apartment, and James commented with a smile, "This place I rent is a bit small, isn’t it?"
