Chapter 9 Negotiation 1
Grandmother walked up to Tian Xingyun, took her hand and said affectionately, "I've had someone prepare food for you. Eat before you go home."
Her gaze was fixed on Xingyun's belly; she couldn't let her dear grandson go hungry.
"No need!" Tian Xingyun refused, unable to hide the disappointment in her eyes.
It seemed Grandmother hadn't convinced Huo Shaohua; both the baby and Huatan were beyond saving.
She couldn't bear to lose the baby, so she could only leave Huatan Village for a while.
After such an incident, she didn't want to burden her parents.
The child she was carrying belonged to the village's sworn enemy; surely the villagers wouldn't tolerate her and the child.
If she stayed, she would only bring suffering to her parents along with her.
She had no choice but to leave.
"Don't worry, I will make Shaohua take responsibility for you." Grandmother noticed Tian Xingyun's concern and patted her hand reassuringly.
