Alex’s facial expression brightened when he saw how adorable she looked at him now. He wanted to lean closer and kiss her alluring lips. However, her question snapped him out of his sultry thoughts just before he could do that.
Aurora lifted her lips teasingly before asking, "Since when did you like me, Alex?"
"Why did you even ask that?" Alex said, playfully pinching her cheek. Noticing the annoyed glare she shot his way, he quickly added, "You know I always like you, Rory..."
"I mean, as a woman, as a lover, something like that," her eyes blinked while she stared at him with a playful smile. "...Oh, Alex, please don’t tell me you’ve been enchanted by my charm right from the start!"
Aurora was curious because she had never experienced him expressing affection towards her in her past life.
"I can’t say when because I’ve never truly fallen in love with another woman. So, I’m not really sure. However, when you suddenly left me, I began to feel so lost. It feels like you took away half of my soul. The strange part is, you keep appearing in my thoughts."
Aurora was stunned.
"I feel my heart warm hearing your words, Alex. But if you think I’m special, why do you never express it?" She asked again, although she later felt regret for bringing it up.
Suddenly, Alex felt a burden on his mind. He wanted to tell her, but the words seemed reluctant to escape his thoughts. He held Aurora’s hand, choosing not to say anything.
Nevertheless, Aurora asked, "What’s the matter? Please tell me, alright?" She sensed that Alex was hiding something from her.
