Chapter 168: She’s Pregnant?
The concern and concussion in Alex’s eyes become increasingly apparent. Just as he was about to ask Tina to leave him alone, her words stopped him.
"M-master..." Tina cried cheerfully, no longer sad. "If nothing happened to her in your parents’ house earlier, and she suddenly looks awful and is now faint, I guess..."
"What are you trying to say?" Alex asked with a hint of impatience in his voice after waiting for her to finish. She seemed to be speaking so slowly and not quite getting to the point.
"Master, what I’m trying to say," Tina grinned, her gaze on Aurora lying on the bed, "I think, young madam, she might be pregnant..."
"Cough! Cough!" Suddenly, Alex coughed violently, flushing red in the face. He was too shocked to hear Tina’s words.
’How could she be pregnant if they didn’t even do that!?’ Alex is venting his frustration internally while trying to manage his surprise.
"Master, you need to drink this..." Tina stood next to Alex, holding out a glass of water. Alex took it immediately and dismissed her.
Right now, Alex just needs to be alone with his wife. He needs to calm his mind and heart to think clearly.
Once Tina left the room, Alex sat at the edge of the bed, watching Aurora, who looked extremely pale. If he hadn’t seen her chest rise and fall, he might have thought that Aurora had lost her life.
After sitting for a few minutes, he got off the bed, walked to the window, and made a call.
"Patrick, I need to ask permission for my wife." Alex’s voice felt burdened.
