Chapter 98: Exposed!
After the party ended and a few guests and family members had already departed from the hall, Aurora couldn’t leave because David had pulled her into a corner and demanded an explanation.
They settled onto the cozy sofa facing each other.
Aurora was grateful that Alex allowed her to speak to David. However, he was still there waiting for her on another sofa nearby. She could see that he seemed busy scolding Alvin.
Turning her gaze back to David, Aurora couldn’t help but stifle a laugh at how sharp his piercing gaze was. He looked just like someone who had come to collect a debt, as if she had somehow neglected to pay her billion-dollar debt to him.
After gazing at him silently for a few more seconds, Aurora finally broke the silence, "Didn’t Alex explain it to you?" she asked, puzzled.
Aurora remembered Alex saying he would take care of David, so she didn’t need to worry about him.
"No. He didn’t say anything about your marriage," David replied, his eyes glancing sharply at Alex before returning to Aurora.
He continued, "So, tell me why you hid that you were married? And your husband is not just an ordinary man, but he is Alexander Graystone?"
Aurora gently shook her head with a playful grin, teasing him, "Geez, David, since when do you have amnesia?" Her smile brightened as she noticed his brows furrowed in confusion.
"Aurora Spencer, I’m fucking serious..." David snapped in his low voice, worried that Alex would hear him. He didn’t want to make his cousin angry, or his life might be in danger.
"Heaven, why are you mad at me?" Aurora rolls her eyes and continues, "You seem to forget that when we spoke in the parking lot, I told you to stop chasing me because I’m married."
