Chapter 91: She, Fall In Love With Me?
Aurora was thankful to see Alex resting peacefully.
When she draped a soft blanket over him, he didn’t move.
Kneeling next to him, she paused to observe his face. He seemed deep in his sleep and looked so tranquil and frail. It looked entirely different if he were awake and gave her a stern look as usual.
Aurora moved her hand to reach his face, but it lingered in the air just before her finger grazed his delicate nose. She took a deep breath and gently withdrew her hand from his face.
A surge of emotion filled her body, and her heart began to race.
"Alex, what should I do with you, huh?" she whispered, keeping her voice low, fearful he might overhear.
After a little while, she saw him stay perfectly still; his eyelids didn’t even flutter. She couldn’t help but feel relieved, knowing he must have drifted off to sleep.
"I would appreciate it if you could be gentler with me, Alex. It hurts my heart when your fierce and cold side comes out. I just want to enjoy a peaceful moment together before we part ways."
As she reflected on her own words, a playful smile danced on her lips.
Deep down, she realized what she was saying wouldn’t happen.
There was no future where she could remain by his side forever, as he appeared to only like her former self more than who she is now.
