Chapter 85: Being Honest To Josh
"Josh, why do you say that? You are certainly playing a significant role. You assist Tina and me! That’s a fact. You should be proud of it."
Aurora smiled, and she managed to comfort Josh. But a concern still clouded his eyes.
"I know. But look at you now... you have an apparent forehead wound. If I had followed you inside, you would be fine and won’t get hurt. And how am I supposed to meet your husband now?" Josh’s question sounds more like a statement.
A sudden tightness gripped her heart. The anxiety she had pushed aside came rushing back, filled with thoughts about meeting Alex’s entire family, especially her father.
"With how you look now, I can’t hide anything about the incident from him. They trim your hair a bit to sew your scalp—" Josh lost his words when he saw her expression wither. He could only grit his teeth, feeling lost.
Aurora was utterly shocked to find out they had shaved her hair. How could she possibly attend Andrew Graystone’s birthday party tomorrow?
"Really? Is it that visible?" Aurora asked, her fingers brushing against the bandage on her head.
Josh gasped softly, laughing in disbelief at her question.
"But that is not what I’m worrying about the most. Young Madam, YOU and I should be concerned if you injured your brain. You could have a concussion, for god sake!"
He is surprised that Aurora cares more about her appearance than her internal injury. He is concerned that she may have lost her memories.
Aurora took a deep, long breath while shaking her head.
