Charles stood at the end of the fighters' line. The crowd's roar filled the air, mingling with the sounds of the current fight.

Charles took deep breaths, trying to steady his nerves.
'Seriously... two fights back-to-back...' he thought, eyeing the two hulking fighters ahead of him.
The first sat on a stool, stretching his arms.
The second, with long hair tied in a ponytail, was ready to go, smacking his fists together with an unfriendly glare.

A sweet voice pulled Charles from his thoughts. He turned, confused, and froze.
