Chapter 52: Misunderstood Kiko
Kiko placed her hands on her waist. "What do you think was going to happen?"
"What is that club for?" Freya asked accusingly.
Kiko looked genuinely confused. "Club? What club? Wait, you mean my pestle?"
"Pestle?"
Kiko sighed. "It’s what we apothecaries use to mix up herbs," she said while putting it away.
Freya was still not convinced. "And the door? Why did you lock the door?"
Kiko looked to the side, nervous sweat dripping down her face.
Freya placed her back against the door, trying to get as far away from her as possible. "I knew it!"
"It’s not like that! It’s just... it’s just... ahhhhhhh!" Kiko screamed, running her hand through her hair vigorously.
Faye felt her eyes begin to water. She was in a worse situation than she had thought.
