Chapter 5 Everyone is Asking About You
Jiang Ye walked while answering the phone, glanced over upon hearing some noise, but quickly averted her gaze when she saw who it was.
Lu Jing stood still for about a second or two, then started walking away.
As she passed by the man, she clearly heard him yell into the phone,
"Xiyue!"
Lu Jing's body uncontrollably shivered a few times, and she hurriedly quickened her pace to leave.
In the dimly lit stairwell:
"Cough, cough cough cough...ugh!"
This was a physical reaction to her emotions. Crying to the extreme leads to frantic coughing, followed by the urge to vomit.
Lu Jing squatted down with her hands covering her face, her slender back trembling with each sob, as tears pattered down onto the floor...

Ten minutes later, Lu Jing returned to the banquet hall, but the person she was looking for had already left.
