Chapter 91: Side Story-15
JOHN
"H-Hey Ginny." I manage a strained smile as I pocket my phone.
"It’s really nice to see you here, John." Ginny smiles and approaches our table.
Steve looks up from his hot chocolate to Ginny. "Who is it, brother?" He blinks in confusion.
"She...is an old friend." I lie.
Ginny is actually my ex. We used to date when we were in high school. She has a big role in making Erwin and me best friends. Ginny was my first love but she cheated on me with Erwin. I used to be a nerd in high school so Ginny didn’t want us to publicize our relationship. Erwin didn’t know that Ginny was taken this is why he fooled around with Ginny. Ginny on the other hand knew too well how Erwin was but still approached him and cheated on me.
Erwin and I weren’t in the same class which is why I didn’t know anything about this. Ginny dated me while making out with Erwin. I eventually found out about it and talked to Erwin about this. Erwin was disgusted hearing my words and ditched Ginny. Then I broke up with Ginny. It would have been fine if it was just this but it didn’t end there.
A few days later when I was returning from my cram school, a few guys attacked me. They were Ginny’s brothers who came after me after hearing that I broke her heart. I was really freaked out but then like a superhero, Erwin popped out and talked the matter out with them. They understood and apologized because of their rudeness. They left and this is the time I and Erwin started to get close.
After that Ginny quit the school and moved out of the town. I had never seen or heard from her since then. I had no idea that Ginny was back in town. When Ginny and I broke up, I was really heartbroken. I actually truly liked her. But she betrayed my trust and hooked up with another man behind my back.
"May I take a seat?" Ginny asks, referring to the side opposite my seat where Steve is slurping on his drink while watching us intently.
"Steve, come here," I call Steve to free up the space and let Ginny sit.
