"So you were spying on me?" Erwin picks up my phone from the table looks at the picture for a brief second and then tosses it over the table. He sounds pissed. "So I am not good enough for you to trust, huh?"
"Stop misunderstanding." I snip, "I don’t have anyone watching you but I do have someone to keep you safe."
"What do you mean, keep me safe?" Erwin frowns. "Did you hire a bodyguard? Without me knowing?"
"I was worried that you might get into any trouble because of me again so I hired one for you." I sound too robotic and our eyes are clashing against each other. Both of us are pissed but for different reasons. "Don’t try to change the subject, Erwin. Explain why you are with Leon."
"I am not trying to change the subject, Leo." Erwin is trying his best to keep the volume of his voice in check as his frustration and anger pour out, "Just tell me why there is a bodyguard. Do you think I am this incapable of protecting myself or I am this unreliable that you need to hire a body to look over me? I mean seriously?"
"This is not it Erwin." I still don’t stand from my seat and don’t break my eye contact with him. My frustration and eagerness are evident in my voice. "I am just trying to protect you! Last time when you got into that accident...you don’t know Erwin how much I freaked out. So you should have a bodyguard."
"What do you mean?" Erwin runs a frustrated hand over his silver hair, "That the freaking bodyguard can save me from anything, at all? Do you really think it’s possible?"
"I don’t know if it’s possible or not Erwin. I just want you to have protection." I know I am being unreasonable here but I can’t help it. "I just want to make sure that you are alright even when I am not with you."
