Chapter 5: Craziest moment -1
As they walked back to the hotel, Mara's mind was racing. Everything was happening too fast.
Ethan couldn't contain his excitement. "We should go buy the rings now and get our marriage registered." Mara laughed, shaking her head. Ethan stopped walking and turned to her, his eyes filled with determination, and pulled his phone out of his pocket holding Mara's hand with his other free hand.
Mara glanced at Ethan, who was still on the phone with Steph, giving instructions like he was closing a business deal. And maybe to him, marriage was a deal a decision made, executed without hesitation.
Mara, on the other hand, felt like she was being swept up in a whirlwind. Was she really about to marry a man she had just met?
A man who made her heart race but also completely took over every situation without question?
She took a deep breath, trying to convince herself she wasn't making a mistake.
But then Ethan hung up and turned to her with that dangerously charming smirk. "All set. Your apartment is canceled. You're moving in with me."
Mara stopped walking. "Wait... don't I get a say in that?"
Ethan tilted his head as if confused by her hesitation. "You said yes to being my wife.
That means your life is with me now."
Mara stared at him. "Ethan... you do realize we barely know each other, right?" He stepped closer, his intense gaze locking onto hers. "I know enough."
