Chapter 77: Equivalent Exchange.
Khallyon procures to resist the insane pain, having both hands with shattered bones and nails, along burned flesh with boiling blood due to the green magma cursing through the wooden bark like skin of the Perennence Trader.
The monster is all smiles across the wrinkles of its hooded robe, a tendency visible on the sharp rows of silver teeth hidden under the mysticism provided by the darkness that does not allow anyone to have a good glance of this Creature’s real head.
The Perennence Trader deviates his sight to observe the spinning silver dices, carving their way through the air, but ultimately, falling to the floor.
Upon contact, the strange glyphs on the dice glitch, showing for an instant that the faces of those cubes have the numbers from one to six, just to be replaced again with the glyphs.
The dices bounce off the ground, falling for the second time; The glyphs are distorted again, showing the numbers, except that this time, they are from two to twelve.
This pattern is repeated three more times, increasing the overall numbers, but after the fifth bounce, both dices suddenly stop in mid air, motionless for a full second, only to fall flat on the floor as if the gravity was abruptly heightened on that specific spot; Showing a 36 on the upper face of both cubes.
{You have to be shitting me!, Not only did this Creature blatantly cheat, but make it have the highest possible combination too... , I don’t know what that means, but can’t be good...}
The two glyphs representing the numbers 36 on the dice, are separated from the object floating to mingle with their twin counterpart.
The result, an ephemeral 72 that is transformed into an ethereal hieroglyph that flies towards one of the stone like arms of the Perennence Trader, as the dices levitate too, spinning in opposite orbits with the immaterial creation as their anchor.
