Chapter 351: Trapping her body
"Ahh, it’s more difficult than I thought," Layla muttered, wobbling as she struggled to keep her balance on the ice.
Lucius tightened his grip on her arms, steadying her. "I’ve got you," he said in a reassuring tone. "Just relax and move your legs like I showed you."
Layla took a hesitant step forward like a baby taking their first steps. Her cheeks flushing red because of the cool atmosphere around them while she curled tightly around his.
"Don’t let go of my hands yet," she pleaded, glancing up at him with wide eyes.
Lucius chuckled softly, his breath warm against the winter chill. "I’m holding you tight," he promised. His hands remained firm around hers, guiding her gently. Leaning closer, he whispered, "Just try to feel free on the ice. Trust yourself... and trust me."
After a while, Layla got a bit of confidence as she began moving. He slowly let go of her hands even when she rebelled against it. "You need to come to me, Layla," he said with a smirk.
Layla skated toward him slowly while maintaining her balance. Lucius began moving away from her and they moved in a circle, their giggles mixed with the noises from the crowd as they finally began to enjoy.
In the next turn, Lucius went after Layla with a speed. She would look back to make sure he wasn’t behind her. However, he caught in her a few moments and lifted her in the air while holding her from behind.
Her laughter echoed in the ice rink before he placed her back to the ice. Someone accidentally hit Lucius and he was the one, who lost his balance this time. Layla, too, couldn’t keep up and they eventually fell.
