Chapter 330: Your wife’s kindness
Lucius pulled Layla down onto the bed, wrapping his arms around her as he rested his face against her chest. His warm breath fanned over her skin, making her fingers instinctively tangle in his soft tresses, caressing them gently.
"Lucius, what are you doing?" she murmured, feeling the weight of his body pressing against hers.
"Doesn’t it feel good this way?" he asked, his voice laced with drowsiness.
Layla smiled softly. "Yes. Do you need more sleep?"
"Only if you sleep with me," he replied, his eyes still closed, his grip on her tightening slightly.
She sighed, amusement flickering in her eyes. "Father and the others are still here. We need to see them off before they leave for their respective places. Even Demitri has decided to move out today."
Lucius groaned lightly but eventually lifted his head, his golden eyes locking onto hers. "Then, let’s go," he murmured, reluctantly pulling away. But as he helped her sit up, he leaned in close, his lips brushing against her ear. "After they leave, we’re coming straight back to bed—unless you’re hungry," he whispered in a teasing tone.
Layla hummed in response, a small smile gracing her lips. With that, they left the room and made their way downstairs.
In the living room, Alekis and Fiona had just finished their tea. Their luggage was already packed and neatly placed by the door. Seeing Lucius and Layla, they both stood up with warm smiles.
"Dad," Lucius spoke, stepping forward to embrace Alekis. "Thank you for everything... for standing by me."
Alekis returned the hug, his firm hand patting Lucius’s back. "No more hiding things, son," he advised in a meaningful tone.
