Chapter 263: Roger tried to kill me
Roderick and Ivy arrived in the VIP ward, where Ivy’s mother was admitted.
"Roderick, you here?" Harvey Stone asked with a shocking gaze as he lifted from the chair.
"Ivy informed me regarding Mrs. Stone. Is she fine?" Roderick asked.
"Mira is out of danger with god’s grace and is asleep now," Harvey replied.
"I see. Here, I bought a bouquet for Mrs. Stone on my way here with Ivy," he said.
"That’s so sweet of you, Roderick," Harvey stated and accepted the bouquet from him. He looked at his daughter, wondering she was together with Roderick now. If that was the case, then it was wonderful.
"Dad, I’ll put them inside the vase," Ivy said, stepping ahead after placing her small handbag on the white table.
"I will go and meet the doctor in-charge," Roderick said and excused himself.
"Did you tell Roderick?" Harvey asked, turning to his daughter. "I understand that you don’t like Roderick, but he’s a considerate guy. Don’t look at his past and move on. Your mother and I were delighted when Roderick’s grandfather approached us with his son’s hand. Once you start dating, you’ll get to know him in a better way," he said, trying to make his daughter understand.
"Yes, Dad. I know that. I’m sorry for saying something like that," Ivy said half-heartedly. For her mother’s sake she had to be with Roderick.
"That’s good. Mira was asking about you when she woke up. Will Roderick be here till the evening? It would be better if he does. Mira may like it and feel better," Harvey stated.
