"Welcome home!" Alekis greeted warmly, his vibrant smile lighting up the frosty evening as he stood just outside the grand mansion, eagerly awaiting Lucius and Layla’s arrival. Behind him, Fiona and Roderick stood silently.
"Father, it’s freezing out here. You shouldn’t be standing in the cold," Lucius said with gentle concern, his brows knitting as he stepped forward.
"Nonsense, I’m perfectly fine," Alekis replied with a reassuring smile. He moved closer and placed a affectionate hand on Lucius’s back, guiding him toward the entrance.
Together, the group made their way inside.
When they reached the spacious bedroom that once belonged to Lucius, Alekis took a moment to glance around before speaking.
"I’ll have the maid send up dinner for the both of you shortly," he said, his tone brimming with fatherly care. His gaze softened as it settled on his son. "Get some rest, Lucius. And don’t you dare let your wife take on any stress," he added, his words carrying a hint of playful authority.
Lucius chuckled lightly, the corners of his lips curving into a warm smile as he nodded. "I’ll take care, Father," he replied.
"Then we’ll leave you two to settle in. If you need anything at all, just let the maid know, and it will be taken care of," Alekis said with a warm smile.
"Sure, Dad," Lucius replied with a nod.
