Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle

Chapter 137: To hurl insults

Lucius peppered soft kisses across Layla’s face, his lips grazing her forehead, her cheeks, and even the tip of her nose. His touch made her giggle, which sounded light and melodic. "You seduce me at the wrong times, in the wrong places," he murmured, his lips brushing against her temple.

Layla, still giggling, placed her hands gently on his chest, pushing him away just enough to catch her breath. "Then should I stop doing that?" she teased in a playful tone.

"No," Lucius replied firmly as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I like it. Don’t ever stop doing that," he whispered, his breath warm against her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.

Layla smiled, her cheeks flushing. "By the way, I have something to tell you, Lucius," she said, her tone shifting slightly to something serious.

His expression turned serious too. "What is it?" he asked, searching her eyes for any signs of worry.

"When you weren’t here, someone left an envelope at the main gates," she began, her voice calm but tinged with curiosity. She went on to narrate the incident, explaining what she had discovered inside it.

Lucius’s jaw tensed as he processed the information. "Why didn’t you tell me about this before?" he asked, his tone sharp with concern.

"I couldn’t find the right moment," Layla admitted softly. "But let’s go to the bedroom, and I’ll show you."

Without another word, Lucius nodded, and the two headed upstairs. Once inside the room, Layla walked to the drawer beside the bed and retrieved a small envelope. Turning to him, she handed it over.
