"How am I supposed to live when everything from me has been snatched? Roderick left me because I’m no longer handling the Beauty Brand. When I open my phone, I only see messages where I’ve been ridiculed," Orabela began complaining while shedding tears... Crocodile tears.
"You can’t take such a step even if all this is happening. Roderick wasn’t good for you anyway. But don’t let the negativity take a haul on you. You are my daughter and that’s what matters the most," Darius said, holding her hands and wiping the tears from her cheeks.
"But no one is considering her your daughter anymore. You decided to give Layla the position of Director! Everything has started from there," Lady Agatha intervened. "My granddaughter could have lost her life because of that insolent wench!" She bitterly remarked.
"Mom, will you stop spewing so much poison against Layla? Have you not seen so far what has happened? We didn’t give her the right treatment and that’s the main reason she is acting like this. Please, I beg you to stop," Miriam pronounced this time. She then glanced at Orabela and said,
"Just take some rest, Bella. Don’t think about all this. You are our daughter and one day you’ll get everything we hold."
Darius nodded as he agreed with his wife.
"And how am I even going to trust those words?" Orabela asked, looking at both of her parents. "I always thought with my hard work, I would get the top position in Rosenzweig Group one day. But Layla got it in an instant without any effort. She became the Director. Again, she will play some games and become the company’s Chairwoman one day. I will be thrown out. I know this," Orabela said, covering her eyes with her palms, sobbing hard.
"No, that will never happen!" Miriam said.
"How are you sure about that? Layla and her cunning husband will again do something ridiculous which is rightful of Orabela," Lady Agatha muttered, her fingers tightly curling around the stick’s top.
