Chapter 84: Died in my arms
Sylvia threw the vase and it hit the wall before shattering into pieces. She took out her anger by throwing objects here and there. After a good ranting session, Sylvia slumped to the chair and took out her phone from inside her handbag.
"How dare she threaten me? Layla challenged me that I can’t make her divorce Lucius. She doesn’t know who I am and what I am capable of," Sylvia muttered and typed something on her phone.
Just then, she heard a knock on the door and wondered if it were the hotel manager.
Someone must have heard the noises earlier. Opening the door, she saw Roger on the door. "What are you doing here?" she asked with a frown. She was going to slam the door at his face when he stopped her.
"Boss is waiting for you in the lobby," said Roger and walked away.
"Did Lucius come for me? I think he scolded Layla for treating me in such a bad way," she murmured with a smile. Running her hand through her dress, she headed out of the room after taking the key card.
In the lobby, her eyes lit up to see Lucius. She remembered the first time she saw Lucius. That was the moment she fell for him. He looked so poised and calm while his expressions were unreadable.
"You should leave," Sylvia instructed Roger.
"He will stay here. Don’t order him. He is not your servant," Lucius coldly said. He clasped his hands together, resting them on his lap. "Take a seat, Roger," he said, who nodded and settled next to Lucius.
