Chapter 81: The intense pleasure
Layla woke up early in the morning and the first thing she did was searching about Lucius’s older brother. She saw the articles which popped up on the screen, mostly accusing Lucius for the death the future chairman of the De Salvo Groups.
She clicked the first article and began skimming through it. She went through a few more articles related to the accident when she came across one strange article.
While reading it, Layla felt that people were too harsh on Lucius back then. His father even removed him from the company because the backlash was severe. ’But why? Even Lucius got into that car accident. He was injured too. Badly. But no one cared for him. And his mother, did she come to look after Lucius?’ she thought.
Closing her phone, she put it away and turned to look at Lucius, who was sleeping peacefully. "I wonder how tough your life was. I won’t let Orabela and Roderick to ruin your reputation. If Roderick told something like this to Orabela that means they might use it against you," she murmured and decided to do something before they could.
Reaching her hand out to Lucius’s head, she caressed it slowly. ’You won’t be alone anymore. I won’t let anyone throw mud at you. It’s difficult for any of us to understand how much pain you are holding inside you,’ she thought.
Her hand rested on his cheek as she admired him silently. Before she could withdrew her hand, Lucius grasped it and slowly opened his eyes.
"I disturbed your sleep," Layla felt a bit upset.
"No, you didn’t," Lucius replied and turned his head to look at the time. "Oh! It’s past eight in the morning. I slept a lot today," he said and turned to look at Layla, who suddenly kissed him.
"Ahh, it was supposed to be on your cheek," she said, pointing at it. "But I think on the lips, it was better," she muttered, smiling a little. Her smiled faded, seeing the desire lingering in his eyes. Lucius had made the initial attempts always, so this time Layla thought to do it.
