Chapter 50: Not leaving this bed
"Good morning," Layla replied, surprised to see him already in a bathrobe.
"I used the other washroom," Lucius explained, extending his hand to her. When Layla took it, he drew her close, pressing her gently against him. His nose brushed against her cheek in a slow, affectionate gesture.
Layla closed her eyes, biting her lip as the warmth of his body enveloped her, a growing comfort in his embrace that hadn’t been there before.
Lucius noticed her relaxation, sensing the shift in her ease around him. Grazing his lips along her jawline, he left a trail of tender kisses before moving down to her neck.
"It’s a pleasure to start the morning like this," he murmured against her skin, his voice hushed and intimate. His hands wandered gently along her back, soothing her with each soft caress.
Layla felt her nerves melt away under his touch, letting herself savor the tenderness of the moment.
"Did you kiss me this morning?" Lucius asked in a low voice, his lips brushing Layla’s neck as he continued planting soft kisses. His eyes locked onto hers, and she gasped, clearly surprised.
"Weren’t you asleep?" she asked, her breathing becoming erratic, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
"I wake up easily, even with the slightest noises or touches," he responded smoothly, his hand sliding to the front of her bathrobe, fingers playing with the knots.
