Jane Quinlan frowned, "Me? What did I do now?"
Kay Forrest rubbed his temples, "You don’t need to know. Just remember that I’m your benefactor."
Jane Quinlan pursed her lips. He sure likes to take credit where it’s due and then some.
But fine, let him be.
"There’s nothing going on outside this morning, but there are two documents that need your signature. Take a look."
She took the files out of her notebook and placed them on the table.
Kay Forrest picked up the files for a glance when his phone started ringing like crazy.
He glanced at it and then put the phone face down on the table, letting it ring.
Seeing he wasn’t answering, Jane Quinlan asked, "Why aren’t you answering?"
"It’s not an important call."
Jane Quinlan pouted. She had just seen the name ’Dad’ on the phone.
