Jane Quinlan sighed, "Alright, alright, I’m already stressed out, can you not rub it in?"
"I’m just worried for you." Xiao Hua pouted, "It’s just you who doesn’t understand the urgency."
Jane Quinlan turned sideway to pull out her phone from her bag, which was vibrating.
She looked at it, saw that it was Kay Forrest calling, wiped her mouth, signaled Xiao Hua to be quiet, and then answered the call.
"Hello, Director Forrest," she said, pulling out a tissue to wipe her mouth again.
"Where are you?"
"Downstairs, eating ramen."
"Why didn’t you call me when you’re eating," came Kay Forrest’s reproachful voice over the phone.
Jane Quinlan felt it was unfair: "You didn’t ask me to call you."
"Didn’t I tell you last night when I invited you to dinner that it’s no fun eating alone, that’s why I asked you to dine with me.
I don’t care; it’s your treat for lunch today, bring back something to eat, consider this your punishment," he said.
He hung up after finishing his sentence.
