Chapter 171: The Architect’s Heir
One of the commanders boldly stepped forward and asked,
"May we know why you two helped us? You’re one of those Summoners, aren’t you?"
Hovering above the ground, Igaris shook his head, his voice cold and commanding.
"No. Look at her..." he said, pointing at Evernight. "You would recognize her if you had studied the ancient records. She is Calypso, the daughter of the Great Architect. And me..." A slow, confident smile curled on his lips.
"I am the Inheritor of the Architect."
As he spoke, his eyes shimmered with an ethereal blue light, the same radiant hue carved into the massive statue in the capital square.
The Mechas around them buzzed and trembled, as if even their artificial senses had registered something divine. For a moment, time seemed to slow, and awe swept through the battlefield.
It was unmistakable. Those eyes belonged to the Creator. And now, they rested in the body of a human.
Gasps erupted from the surrounding soldiers.
"Oh Lord... is it really true? The Architect’s eyes... among us?"
"Yes... they look exactly the same. I saw a painting once, in the ancient archives. The half-demonic, half-angelic daughter of the Almighty Architect stood beside a man with those very same eyes..."
