Chapter 146: Meeting In-laws
Afterward, Igaris turned his attention to the other graves. He tried to revive his grandparents, his two uncles, and their families. But despite his power and the rare opportunity given by the Yin-Yang Reversal, only two among them responded to the call of life.
Two cousins.
A young man and woman, barely in their twenties when they had died. He had little emotional connection with them in the past. Their relationship was distant, no more than blood ties. But blood ties were still something. So, out of duty rather than sentiment, he revived them.
Still stunned and speechless from their sudden return to life, the two cousins stood wide-eyed, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Without offering many explanations, Igaris activated Dimension Sovereign again and transported them, along with his parents, to Stargaze City. His senses had already picked up the ripple of space, the arrival of powerful presences nearing the cemetery.
The air turned heavy moments after they vanished.
Then with a soft pulse of spatial disturbance, three men appeared in the graveyard. Their clothing shimmered with enchantments, their bodies surrounded by subtle layers of defensive magic. High-ranked Divers, likely from one of the Four Great Houses.
They landed with precision, their sharp eyes scanning the disturbed soil and half-open graves with a mix of shock and dread.
"The coffins... some of them are empty," one of them muttered, his voice laced with disbelief.
"This isn’t just grave robbing. Someone has tampered with the flow of life and death itself."
"The residual aura here... it’s his. Igaris Vance," the tallest among them spoke coldly.
