Chapter 141: Rebellion Against Orca
Igaris stood atop a high-rise rooftop, his coat fluttering in the wind as he watched the towering wall steadily take form. Slab by slab, stretch by stretch, Mountain King and his subordinates molded the defense line like divine architects shaping the edge of a sovereign domain.
Soon, the city would be fortified. And once the wall was complete, Igaris could move freely.
But even as the outer perimeter neared completion, a deeper concern stirred within him.
The Dungeon Worlds.
If he was locked within one of them for the standard 14-day cycle, what would happen here? His territory would be vulnerable. Defenseless. He could not rely on chance. Not when he had just reclaimed a city from the Empire’s fingers.
The true imperial forces were still far away, perhaps months from reaching Stargaze. But that didn’t mean he had time to waste. The Four Great Houses, each ruling with their own agenda and ego, would not tolerate his rise. They would act swiftly, sending troops to retake what he had claimed.
Individually, they posed no great threat.
But together? They would drown his flame before it could become a fire.
He needed a plan. A way to anchor himself here while exploring the Dungeon Worlds. Or better yet, a way to bypass the time restrictions entirely. To travel between realms freely. Untethered like a Sovereign.
He closed his eyes briefly, the wind brushing his face, and exhaled.
There was a reason he was so adamant about returning to the Dungeon Worlds.
