"Listen carefully," Igaris said with a serious expression. "I am not from this world, nor from the God Realm or the Spirit Realm. I come from an entirely different world. Or perhaps a different universe altogether."
Evernight’s eyes widened at the revelation, but she wasn’t completely shocked. As an ancient lifeform, she had learned many things from her father. The idea of other worlds or universes wasn’t impossible to her.
"I see... So where are you from? And what’s your goal in coming here?" she asked, watching his solemn face carefully.
Igaris looked away from her gaze, and replied in his calm but distant tone:
"I was originally from a world with no magic, no advanced technology—just a relatively peaceful place. Minor scuffles still existed, especially among ignorant, racist groups, but overall, it was livable. Until everything changed."
He paused, gathering his thoughts.
"A mysterious realm called Orca emerged out of nowhere. It devoured our world silently. Life as we knew it ended overnight. We..."
He slowly began to recount the events from the beginning, hoping she might know something about Orca.
He told her everything.
How his family rose through layers of hardship and betrayal—though it wasn’t a betrayal in the truest sense. His father, General Iskarth Vance, had purposefully submitted to the Skadi Empire to protect the Earth State from extinction. In truth, he was secretly plotting against the Empire from within.
He wasn’t alone in this plan. The leaders of the four house representatives had agreed with his vision since the very beginning, when the resistance was first born.
