Chapter 98: Kaiju’s Gifts
"Although, we might not be as strong as you guys..." Qwanisha paused, meaningfully glanced for each second at Faith, Griffin, Lucy, and Kaiju, and continued, "But we can still put up a fight against them."
"That’s right," said Max with a smile. "We might not have a Legendary Class, but we still have an Epic class. That is why we need Faith in our formation to fight against them. You all can solo them anyway."
Kaiju stared at them, and then to Qwanisha, remembering her words. If he recalled correctly, he could not defeat Qwanisha before, even with the aid of his pets–though, it might be different if his pets went all out–but now, Kaiju had no doubt he could even take Qwanisha alone. In addition, Qwanisha was a pure long-range archer, and her crossbows were only her secondary weapon in case of close combat.
Her profession was naturally the prey of the assassin profession. That is why, Kaiju admired her capabilities to be so vigilant, as she was aware she was the main target to weaken the team. Qwanisha was deadly in her own league.
Griffin stood up and indifferently said, "I’ll go now."
He didn’t even need to use blink, for with his speed, he already disappeared. However, before he left, Kaiju shouted, "Teacher! I still have a gift for you."
Griffin halted. He turned at Kaiju with his usual nonchalance. Nevertheless, his temperament and aura seemed to have a significant change, causing Qwanisha and others to be surprised.
Kaiju did not take some time to act mysterious as he hastily pulled out from the inventory the Sylphs Feather and Tempest Fang Gauntlet.
He prepared two Rare grade artifacts for his teacher, causing the latter to be surprised.
"T-This is?" He had forgotten his worries when his eyes landed on the artifacts.
"This is my gift for you."
