Chapter 92: Griffin’s Arrival
When Griffin arrived, everyone was already present. They were having a joyous meal. Qwanisha, Faith, and Max were eating like they haven’t eaten for many ages. Kaiju, on the other hand, was wearing a pink apron and continued to cook for them with his cooking apparatus. Lucy, meanwhile, was talking to a blue serpent, causing him to furrow his eyebrows.
"Did he tame more beasts?" Griffin slightly smiled.
He casually observed the other serpent and lingered his gaze more at the red serpent, seemingly sensing his stare and meeting his gaze. That guy... not bad. Griffin’s impression of Ember.
Ember, on the other hand, felt apprehensive when staring at Griffin. He’s strong! He exclaimed in his mind. Of course, when Ember meant strong, not only on his offensive abilities, but other aspects, as well. It was more like how strong a person can control the battlefield with his intelligence and capabilities. Ember instantly gauged through Griffin with a single glance.
He smiled. That guy must be who Kaiju is referring to. If that is the case, then he is worthy for Zephyr to follow as his new master. He is not all brawn, even though his fighting style seems like it. Ember instantly grasped how Griffin fought when he saw the rapier on his waist.
Griffin, meanwhile, frowned at being scrutinized by the red serpent. I feel like I’m naked from his gaze. He did not like it at all. However, since he is the tamed beast of Kaiju, I’ll let him off. Even so, he glared at the red serpent, so the latter could be aware of his actions.
Ember’s eyes widened and lowered his head with an apologetic expression. Griffin felt satisfied by his actions and nodded.
"Oh, that arrogant guy is finally here!"
"Ah, Teacher Griffin! Come and eat with us."
Griffin gave an indifferent glance at Qwanisha and turned to Kaiju. He shook his head and walked towards him. "I’m not that hungry like those ravenous wolves. Let me help you."
"Thank you in advance!"
