Chapter 10: Thrall
A week went by in the blink of an eye. To determine the world's time, Kaiju studied how the moon progressed.
The Red and Blue moon each rose in the opposite direction, the former being in the east and the latter being in the west, so when they eclipsed, the whole world turned purple.
Once they set, another moon appeared, one that was multiple times bigger than the red and blue moon combined. Kaiju assumed it was bloodmoon – of course, proceeding from east to west. Once it settled on the middle, the blood moon turned bloody crimson and once it occurred, Kaiju's instinct was screaming in peril, quickly searching for a place to hide for a while.
He figured it should be related to the vampires living in the burg. Based on what he knew about the vampire race, a race among many other races his teachers' introduced to them, they were bloodthirsty, always craving for blood, and their weakness was sunlight.
Bloodmoon was always the time they would berserk in the world, a time where they would lose control of themselves and infinitely become stronger than before... Thankfully, one of the strongest humans established a great connection with them, causing their invasion to be less happening unless it was based on a personal interest.
As of the moment, he was nowhere near the level of the vampire living on the burg... the weakest being the Thralls, from the lackadaisical information of the Gacha System, was already beyond his level...
That was a week ago.
Now, he was fighting another, accompanied by Snow, without utilizing the skill, Emotionless. This was the third thralls he came across, still on the Savage Rank. The previous one... he tried to battle it without Emotionless skill, but he was scared witless he instantly activated it, ending its life with a similar fashion to the first Thrall.
Day and night, starting from that day, the horror left by the Thralls became his shadowboxing, attempting to get accustomed to their appearance. So, when he came across the third thralls, one that he was currently facing, scrutinizing his body reaction, seemingly having a slight shivering and his mind was in half peace, he assumed he could fight now without relying on the Emotionless skill.
