Chapter 88: Clash with the Five Idiots(8)
Upon witnessing Leon's victory, Olivia decided to share her thoughts with Angelica.
"I'm really glad Leon won, but... I think he went too far. I feel like he should apologize to Greg," she said, furrowing her brows slightly.
Angelica paused for a moment before responding.
"Yeah, Greg is probably going to be furious once he comes to his senses. I can't even imagine what he'll do after this... But if Leon apologizes, it'll probably just make him even angrier. So, I think it's best to leave things as they are."
Olivia simply sighed in response, then turned her gaze back to the arena—where the third match was about to begin.
Leon vs. Chris
Leon's next opponent was Chris—the son of the Holy Sword. Since childhood, he had trained with a sword as relentlessly as Spartans trained with spears. He fought with a sword, ate with a sword, slept with a sword... Hell, his sword probably had a sword of its own!
But Leon had also been training since childhood—not just with a sword, but with a variety of weapons. On top of that, he had actual combat experience, giving him a massive advantage. Unlike Chris, who relied solely on his swordsmanship, Leon had a much broader arsenal of tactics.
Chris's biggest weakness was his lack of ranged attacks. If his opponent simply avoided close combat and kept attacking from a distance, he could be defeated easily. Leon could have done exactly that... but that would've been too easy.
Instead, he chose to fight Chris in close combat—to completely overwhelm him. Every strike would not only showcase the difference in skill but also shatter Chris's ideals. Leon wanted to prove that in a real battle, there was no such thing as knightly honor. War wasn't fair, and there were no rules—anything could happen.
And Chris needed to understand that.
