Chapter 12: Problematic Sisters
The next morning, Leon approached Barkus with a request:
"Dad, since I handled the pirates, can I take some of the stuff they left behind?"
Hearing this, Barkus, who was busy with paperwork, set his documents aside to look at his son.
"Hmm... Well, if you were an adventurer, everything would belong to you according to the kingdom's laws. Alright, tell me what you want."
Leon paused, pondering for a moment, then replied, "Give me one small ship in good condition and 5% of the money the pirates had."
Barkus's surprised expression clearly said, "You're just a kid—what do you need so much money for?" After a few seconds of silence, he gave his answer.
"The ship? Fine, you can have it. But as for the money? You'll only get 1%."
"Five percent!" Leon shouted.
"One percent."
