“The past can’t be changed, so that explains the wounds. Even though the future might bring despair, the future hasn’t arrived yet…” Shen Tian looked at Gao Ming on the monitor. He had an idea to fight against the God of the Future in his heart, but he didn’t dare to attempt it. Honestly, any normal person wouldn’t dare to try it. At least, even if they did, they wouldn’t do it as naturally as Gao Ming did.
“Boss, did you spot something?” The man with the knife looked brash and abrasive, but he actually had a sharp mind. He was well-trusted by Shen Tian.
Shen Tian whispered, “Perhaps Gao Ming can see the same things as we see. He is not trapped by the future.”
“Impossible. Who can hug a ghost about three meters tall and act intimate with them? Their eyes are practically buzzing with chemistry. Does Gao Ming have a fetish for ghosts?” The man thought he was crazy enough, but Gao Ming was on another level.
“Don’t forget. He came over from the God of the Past’s apartments. He’s different from us.” Shen Tian stopped talking because new changes appeared on the screen.
Gao Ming held the giant ghost’s hand and left the room. The corpse on his back lolled its head back. The bulging eyes seemed to be staring at the omnipresent cameras or perhaps the crowd behind the cameras.
Feeling a chill, the man with the knife pulled on his sleeves. “Boss, do you think Gao Ming is using the corpse on his back to spread the curse to all of us so that we’d share the pressure from the God of the Future for him? Ever since he entered Building Three, that corpse’s eyes have been following us. It’s like it knows about us.”
With a furrowed brow, Shen Tian closed his eyes to conduct a self-examination. The man with the knife turned his head away from the monitors.
