Chapter 393: Your Despair is My Everday
“Situ Cheng, whose side are you on? Sometimes, I suspect that you want to borrow the shadow world’s power to murder all of us.” Wang Chenyi was dissatisfied with Situ Cheng. The situation at Building 3 was unique. The worst future had arrived and was infecting everyone with an indecipherable horror.
“I didn’t expect him to switch on all the cameras.” Situ Cheng shrugged, “Xiao Lian, you only need to track Gao Ming’s location and control the cameras near him. I do wish to see how Gao Ming is going to survive in the worst future.”
The young man, named Xiao Lian, pushed on his glasses. He did as he was told. Through the monitors, the group observed Gao Ming’s every move. They knew how scary Building Three was. They didn’t show it ostentatiously, but they were glad. When tragedy arrived, there was nothing happier than watching others suffer while in the comfort of safety.

“It feels like someone is watching us.” Gao Ming led the group to Building Three. He looked at the half-open front door and hesitated.
“Could it be the other survivors? I saw the cameras moving earlier. This bunch of people purposely led us into a trap. What a bunch of animals.” Ou Yang Susu cursed. She hadn’t even met these people, but they already wanted to kill them.
“No. The gaze didn’t come from the living.” Gao Ming ignored the cameras. With a heavy heart, he slowly pushed the door open. The spacious lobby was clean, and there was nothing out of place. This only made Gao Ming even more anxious.
“Why did those people who participated in the selection abandon Building Three? What happened here?” Gao Ming signalled the others to keep a safe distance from him. He was the first to enter Building Three. Every condo apartment at Prosperity Neighbourhood was built with the best materials. The clean and reflective marble floor reflected Gao Ming’s shadow. The light furnaces on the walls were like art pieces. Pots of greenery lined the corridors. This place looked so peaceful.
Gao Ming walked to the elevators and saw the changing number on the panel. “Is someone using the elevator?” Eventually, the elevator reached the first floor.
