Chapter 1570: Counterattack

Some Duke Bergfrieds descended from the skies like falling mountains, crushing a low-grade True Devil Other. However, before they could celebrate, even more True Devil Others appeared from the shadows, launching their own attacks. Huge amounts of corruption condensed into a gigantic palm that directly ripped apart the Duke Bergfrieds.
When the Duke Bergfrieds shattered, a Duke was critically injured, puking out copious amounts of blood. His resonant power undulations began to wane as he hurriedly attempted to flee. The True Devil Other then grew out a pair of wings made with arms as feathers, soaring into the air. It then diced the unnamed Duke into shreds with its razor-sharp limbs. A shower of blood and flesh mingled with the inky rain, resulting in a pitch-black muddy downpour that was unsettling to anyone who saw it.
Similar scenes of cruel slaughter unfolded in every part of the battlefield. The Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li's second attack was already encountering significant resistance.
Fighting under the Stygian Rain would cause one's inner demons to rise, and prolonged exposure would cause anyone to lose all semblance self-control and reason.
Meanwhile, the Others were like fish in water, having their strength buffed by the rain.
