“It’s okay. There’s a lounge here. I’ll leave the arrangement up to you,” Liang Jing said.
“Thank you, Chief Liang.” Qi Lei was sincerely thankful for her.
Liang Jing nodded. “Don’t worry. I’ve seen patients who had injuries that are way worse than his and they eventually made it. Just take good care of him. We’ll send him to the intensive care unit first,” Liang Jing replied before several nurses behind helped wheel Qi Qiming out of the operating room.
Since he was wrapped in gauze, they could hardly recognize the charismatic Qi Qiming they used to know. When Wang Chun saw him, his heart was wrenched and he muttered, “President Qi!”
When Qi Lei saw the unconscious Qi Qiming, his whole body tensed up. Xi Xiaye gave him a pat to snap him out of his daze. “Send him in first. I’ll let them do all the necessary procedures.”
Qi Lei nodded and followed the nurses in front of him as they pushed Qi Qiming to the intensive care unit.
It had been a busy day, and by the time everything was done, it was already dusk.
Qi Qiming was sent to the intensive care unit. When Xi Xiaye was standing at the door and looking through the glass window, she saw Qi Lei standing by the bed. She thought about it for a while and did not end up entering the room. She stood still in front of the door and silently watched them instead.
