“However, not everything can just be let go easily. It’s not as simple as just saying ‘I’ll forget about it’.”
He was reminded of the scene when he had left his home just now. As he thought about what Qi Qiming told him, he felt really bitter. He grabbed the glass and emptied it instantly.
“You can’t let go because you can’t find a reason to do so yet,” Dongfang Liuyun said after a while as she refilled Qi Lei’s glass again, “Let’s stop talking about such heavy topics. Since we bumped into each other tonight, we should enjoy ourselves.”
Qi Lei chuckled and nodded, “Wine sure tastes better with a friend. Thank you, Liuyun. I feel relaxed every time I talk to you, so here’s to you.”
Dongfang Liuyun clinked glasses with him and emptied the glass.
They took their time to enjoy their meal. It was nearly 7 p.m. when Dongfong Liuyun realized it was about time for her class, so she got up and was ready to leave.
However, the rain was still pouring heavily and it was cold outside as well.
