“Xiaye?” he called out her name and coughed several times as he sat up in the bed.
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?” Xi Xiaye instantly realized that something was wrong with his voice as he sounded like he had a cold. The man was usually pretty susceptible to getting sick.
Mu Yuchen coughed several times again before he replied, “I’m okay. It’s just a little cold. I’ve almost recovered.”

“They are doing great. Xiao Rui keeps asking when you’ll be back while Xiao Cheng always looks around at night, probably waiting for you. He’s starting to recognize faces now. The Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon, and so is the National Day…”
“Bring the children out and have fun during the holidays.”
