Mu Tangchuan practically rushed over as quickly as he could when Xi Xiaye called. He had been in a meeting at the provincial government department office. “How’s your grandmother now? What did the doctor say?” he asked worriedly as he stopped by Mu Yuchen’s side.
“She’s still inside right now. She probably overheard my conversation with Grandfather. Otherwise…” Mu Yuchen replied gloomily.
Mu Tangchuan’s brows furrowed into a knot as he looked worriedly at the operating theatre. He lifted a hand to pat Mu Yuchen on the shoulders. “Don’t think so much about it. Have a seat first. Your grandmother’s always been quite healthy, so she’ll be fine.”
“Your mother’s recently been having headaches and palpitations. She’s been unwell, but she was afraid that you’d all be worried, so she didn’t tell you. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have returned to the old residence. She’s been busy going in and out recently as well. I’ve been worried that her body wouldn’t be able to take it. I was planning to bring her for a checkup at the hospital over the weekend,” Mu Yinan said regretfully.
“Doesn’t Dr. Zhong do health checkups for the both of you from time to time?” Mu Yuchen’s eyes darkened as he turned to look at Mu Yinan.
“Your grandmother thought it was troublesome, so I’ve been the only one doing it the past few times. She said that she was tougher than me, so there was no need to get checked. You know how your grandmother’s temper is. She sticks to her word.”
