“You don’t have to tell me these things. I already told you that I don’t want to know any news about her, much less find out! You’re crossing the line here, Secretary Wang!”
When Xi Xinyi was mentioned, Han Yifeng’s felt a mix of feelings. Apart from disappointment and anger, there was even more indifference. With all of his patience and feelings having been wiped out, he could only feel indifferent towards her.
Observing how he was still so conflicted about Xi Xinyi, Secretary Wang could not tell whether he loved or hated her. At least, he knew that Han Yifeng had once loved Xi Xinyi, though they could not hold onto the relationship.
He hesitated, then could not help but say, “I’m sorry, CEO Han! I just didn’t want to see you suffer. I can tell from your eyes that you aren’t happy at all. I’m sure you haven’t been able to let go of those things.”
Han Yifeng’s expression tensed. He shot a hostile gaze at Secretary Wang. “Secretary Wang, don’t think that you can easily pry into my thoughts! When have I looked like I’ve been suffering? At least, compared to before, I’m much more relaxed and happy! I can do just fine without anyone! Who does Xi Xinyi think she is? I’ll never give her a chance again! I’ve given her too many chances. When has she truly appreciated any of them?”
